Blake McCool
Director of Engineering
Blake is half computer geek, half outdoorsman - a walking oxymoron, if you will.
Some claim to be jacks-of-all trades, able to design, do front-end development, back-end development, architecture, and everything in between with 5 different languages. Maybe it’s possible, but he prefers to be the best at what he does, and he is excellent at building web apps with JavaScript.
While he works well alone, he enjoys being part of a team. He doesn’t care who gets credit as long as he is having fun building and learning the ins and outs of JavaScript.
One skill that can’t be quantified is his ability to communicate about technology. Since he was a kid, he’s been the go-to guy for family and friends with technical difficulties. This knack for tech is represented in his focus on UI/UX. He works hard to understand with whom he is communicating, and crafts his message depending on their “interest,” and it’s okay with him that everyone doesn’t share his enthusiasm.
When his face isn’t glowing from the light of his text editor, you can find it on his mountain bike, rafting, camping, or trailblazing in my Jeep. However, most of the time he enjoys being with his family. Specialties: HTML5, CSS3, JavaScript, Angular, TypeScript, Node, Git, SCSS
